Open Standards
Certification
Official SensOS Certified and Enterprise Certified validation by Gemmina Intelligence.
Version: 1.0.0
Status: Adopted (Program Design)
Operator: Gemmina Intelligence LLC
1. Purpose
Certification is optional official validation. It exists for partners and enterprises that need a steward-backed assurance beyond self-asserted Compatible claims.
Anyone may build Compatible software without certification. Certification is a trust and go-to-market accelerator—not a license to implement public interfaces.
2. Certification levels
SensOS Compatible
- Not a Gemmina-issued certificate.
- Achieved by passing the public Conformance Test Suite for a declared profile.
- May be self-asserted with a published report digest.
SensOS Certified
Officially validated by Gemmina Intelligence.
Requirements:
- Passing CTS results for the requested profile and suite version.
- Identity and product version binding reviewed by the Certification Program.
- No unresolved normative violations in cited Public Standards.
- Trademark and badge usage agreement accepted.
SensOS Enterprise Certified
Validated for production and enterprise security expectations.
Requirements (in addition to Certified):
- Security questionnaire / shared-responsibility review.
- Evidence of auditability aligned with public governance guarantees.
- Production operability review (failure modes, support posture, upgrade policy).
- Renewal commitment and incident notification expectations.
Enterprise Certified does not require disclosure of Trade Secret methods. It validates observable guarantees and operational readiness.
3. Process
Application
→ Scope & profile selection
→ CTS evidence submission
→ Steward validation
→ (Enterprise) security & production review
→ Decision
→ Listing + badge entitlement
→ Renewal cycle
4. Evidence package
Applicants submit:
| Item | Notes |
|---|---|
| Product identity | Legal entity, product name, versions |
| Profile declaration | Profiles and RFC versions |
| CTS report | Machine-readable report + digest |
| Architecture summary | Public-safe; no trade secrets required |
| Contact & support | Escalation path for customers |
| Enterprise extras | Security responses, ops evidence |
5. Badge and listing rules
- Only active certifications may use Certified / Enterprise Certified marks.
- Marks MUST include the profile and suite/year where space allows.
- Public Compatibility Matrix lists Certified products.
- Misuse, lapse, or material silent breakage MAY result in suspension.
6. Certification renewal
| Level | Default validity | Renewal trigger |
|---|---|---|
| Certified | 12 months | Expiry, major product version, CTS major bump |
| Enterprise Certified | 12 months | Expiry, major product version, material security posture change |
Renewal requires fresh CTS evidence on a currently supported suite. Enterprise renewal may require an abbreviated security delta review.
7. Appeals
Applicants may appeal a denial or suspension through the Governance appeal process. Appeals consider standards interpretation and process errors—not requests to weaken Public Standards for convenience.
8. Fees and capacity
Fee schedules and review SLAs are published by the Certification Program and may differ for nonprofit, partner, and enterprise tracks. Fee payment never substitutes for failing tests.
9. Non-goals
Certification is not:
- a transfer of SensOS copyright or patents,
- approval of an applicant’s proprietary algorithms,
- a guarantee of market fitness beyond stated profiles,
- a requirement to use Gemmina-hosted infrastructure.
